The countdown to Halloween has started and festivities are beginning to ramp up.  This week, ThurstonTalk published a list of entertaining trick-or-treat activities, especially suited for the elementary school crowd.  Next week, watch for Thrifty Thurston writers to highlight spookier haunts around town.

If you are more focused on what’s happening in Olympia for the this weekend, rather than worrying about your plans for the next, check out these cool activities to keep your crew entertained.

  • Oktoberfest at Bayview – Friday, October 19th from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Mijas serving authentic Mexican food at the Governor Hotel – Saturday, October 20th from 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Dick Young Memorial Barbecue and Bowling Tournament – Saturday, October 20th beginning at 1:00 pm
  • Apple Affair – Sunday, October 21st from noon – 4:00 pm
  • Add in Evergreen’s annual Harvest Festival, Olympia Family Theater’s production of Go, Dog.
