The next wave of Animal-Assisted Activities & Therapy volunteers at Providence St. Peter Hospital and Providence Centralia Hospital will start in January of 2020.

Training for interested members of this group will take place Thursday, June 27, 7-8:30 p.m. in the 200 rooms at PSPH.

“Although that seems like a long way off, we would like to help prospective handler-animal teams be as prepared as possible to successfully complete the training,” said program coordinator Danni Sabia. “If you have a friendly, well-socialized, well behaved companion animal who LOVES to meet and hang out with new and different people, and you would like to learn about the qualities, skills and behaviors we look for in a successful visiting team, please join us for this no-obligation informational presentation. Attendees will leave the presentation with concrete tasks they can begin working on right away in preparation for the 2020 training.”

DO NOT bring your companion animal to this presentation.

RSVPing is helpful to Sabia, 360-493-7629, danni.sabia@providence.org
