Information Regarding 2013 Grays Harbor County Fair Race

Elma, Washington- Although the Grays Harbor Raceway will be quiet this weekend next Saturday August 10th the 3/8-mile clay oval will fire back up with one of its most popular events, the Grays Harbor County Fair Race.  Classes that will be in action include the Shipwreck Beads IMCA Modifieds, USAC Ford Focus Midgets, Cut Rate Auto Parts Street Stocks, and Hornets.

This event will be held in conjunction with the annual Grays Harbor County Fair and will have some different start times than normal races.  The fair itself will have a world class carnival, animal exhibits, as well as many more activities during the course of the weekend.  For more information on the GHR County Fair log on to their website at www.ghcfairgrounds.com or contact them at (360)-482-2651.

Spectators wanting to watch the races from the grandstands will get in for FREE with paid fair admission while Season Pass holders will be allowed to enter the fair for FREE after 1:00 PM.  Pit Gates will open at 11:00 AM, Front Gates 3:00 PM, Qualifying at 4:00, Opening Ceremonies at 4:30, and Racing is scheduled to be completed by 8:30. The Grays Harbor Raceway is known for its high speeds and side by side racing as well as its large track size. Hosting racing action from April to October regular classes include 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, USAC Ford Focus Midgets, Street Stocks, Hornets, and for the first time the Northwest Extreme Winged Sprint Car Series. Special events include visits by the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series and American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region.
