What’s the saying… “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb”… As I type this, the sun is shining and the wind is still. I certainly can rally behind more weather like this. Get outside (before that lion comes roaring back) and enjoy some of Thurston County’s finest adventures. And, if the rain pushes you back indoors, we have ideas for under-cover weekend activities too.
- A razor clam dig is set for the weekend. Find tide information here and perfect your digging skills with this article.
- While you are in Ocean Shores, take a side trip to Damon Point to see snowy owls.
- Take Saturday night off. Send the kids to Parent’s Night Out at the Hands On Children’s Museum and take your sweetie to a Ninkasi beer tasting dinner.
- Explore the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. It’s a great all-ages outing.
- Visit the State Capital Museum on Saturday for the opening of the World Folk Arts exhibit. Hands-on activities scheduled throughout the day.
- Enjoy an Olympia Symphony Orchestra concert on Sunday at 7:00pm. This year marks the Symphony’s 60th anniversary.
- Ready for Spring Break? Here is a great list of camps and activities to keep your crew busy.
- Planners – mark your calendars for these Easter Egg Hunts.
