Saturday’s featured fair event is the Thurston County Commissioners’ Annual Pancake Breakfast. The August 4 breakfast event is free with admission to the fair, and commissioners serve up the syrup and all of the delicious breakfast treats from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
Saturday’s fair event schedule has more than 50 events, contests and performances, including the Corvette Car Display, animal contests from dawn to dusk, the Spooner’s Farm Berry Best Pie contest, and music by the up-and-coming rock star students from the Rhythm Fire School of Rock. (Complete August 4 events schedule below.) The fair is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.
