Thurston Economic Development Council is pleased to announce the promotion of Renée Sunde to the position of Deputy Director. Ms. Sunde will be responsible for aiding in the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plans and policies, overseeing investor relations, business development, and project management, and providing leadership and direction to EDC staff. She has been with Thurston EDC since 2005 as the Marketing & Business Development Director.
“We are pleased to recognize Renée for her good work and commitment to growing Thurston County. She is a true professional who provides excellent services to private employers in the county,” said Michael Cade, Executive Director. “With Renée in her new role, the EDC will have a greater opportunity to support the expansion of our local economy and provide comprehensive community development solutions.”
Sunde has over 20 years of experience in marketing and business development. She attended Northwest University, with a focus in business administration and is currently pursuing certification through the International Economic Development Council as a Certified Economic Developer. She lives in Thurston County with her husband, Dan.
