Did you miss the 2016 Women of Achievement show? Did you hear about the incredible spoken word performance by graduates of the Women’s Economic Empowerment Program? Now, YOU can see it again while enjoying a YWCA Happy Hour at Hotel RL Olympia. We hear a special Y-themed drink is in the works!

We will kick off at 5:00 with a special Happy Hour in the Lounge at Hotel RL with drink specials. Come catch the game, relax with friends, socialize, relax.

At 6:00, we’ll take over The Living Stage for a brief introduction before EEP Graduates Amanda, Cera & Heather take the stage for their brief performance of “I Am.” We’ll have a quick Q&A after and then head back to the lounge to round out your evening!

What is the Economic Empowerment Program? EEP is a gender-responsive approach to workforce development, which supports and empowers unemployed and underemployed women ages 16 to 70 from Thurston, Lewis and Mason Counties. EEP is holistically designed with women’s needs in mind, supporting her career development, employment readiness and family stability. Ultimately, EEP increases the competence, confidence and connections women need to succeed in the workplace, rise above minimum wage employment and experience economic mobility. EEP works in partnership with a network of nonprofit organizations that provide direct services to those in need of direction to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
