Parent Discussion Group

The February Parent Discussion Group at NOVA will focus on the challenges and mystery of asynchronous development in highly capable children (and adults). This uneven development between cognitive, emotional, social, spiritual and physical development can make parenting teaching and learning a challenge. We will explore the fascinating and challenging characteristic of uneven development common among highly capable students. The information and discussion is designed to provide increased awareness and strategies for parents, teachers and counselors who live and work with highly capable and gifted people. NOVA school counselor, Meghan Hopkins, will co facilitate the discussion with Barbara Mitchell Hutton, Head of School.
