In partnership with the South Sound Bike Park Alliance (SSBPA), we invite you to take a ride on the new bike pump track at Yauger Park. The pump track is a small looping trail system that can be ridden continuously on many types of bicycles without pedaling, and is the first phase of the Yauger Park Bike Skills Area. This project was partially funded by donations from REI, the Nisqually Tribe and Macys, with assistance from the PARC Foundation.
The celebration will include a short presentation at 10 a.m. followed by track demonstrations and a kids obstacle course. Bring your bike and helmet! The City and SSBPA will also present the concept design for the next phase of the bike skills area.
Parking is available at 3100 Capital Mall Dr. SW and 530 Alta St. SW. The bike skills area is located in the southern part of Yauger Park, near the skate court and Safeway.
