The FC Olympia USL women’s soccer program played Lane United Friday, May 24, 2024, to the tune of a 4-1 win for Head Coach Ben Willis. Artesians would strike first with first half goals from Sadie Sider-Echenberg (South Florida) and Honoka Hamano (Univ of Memphis).

Hannah Dickinson (Villanova) started in goal for FC Olympia and played a full 90 minutes only allowing one goal. Sophie Hanson and Katelyn Rigg (Gonzaga) would notch two more goals getting the Artesians three points in the Northwest Division of the USL W League to rise to the top table.

The ladies return to USL W action May 31 against Capital FC (1-2-0) in Salem, Oregon. The next home match in Olympia for the USL Women is June 2nd against the Reign FC second team that plays in the WPSL. Tickets are available online at the FC Olympia website.


The USL League Two Artesians played league newcomer the Tacoma Stars and faced a quick uphill battle going down 2-0 by the 26th minute. The early spark and several offensive counters looked to be an exciting day for the USL Men but the team would go down 2-0 into halftime.
