If it’s time to look for a new neighborhood that offers all the best of our region – nature’s beauty and outdoor activities, look no further than Rob Rice Home’s Steilacoom Ridge community.
The National Association of Homebuilders reports that when they polled buyers of all ages, the results were clear. “Home-buyer preferences constantly evolve, making it a challenge to stay up to date on who wants what. Luckily, the majority of buyers—regardless of age—are looking for the same features in a community: they all desire to live in a community that’s typically suburban, with close proximity to a park area, and that has access to walking/jogging trails.”
Steilacoom Ridge embodies all that and more. Located near I-5 in Lacey, the development’s gorgeous Craftsman-inspired homes are surrounded by parks, trails and greenspace. Helena Rice, wife of Rob Rice, explains that “We are currently developing Phase III and offer luxury ramblers, two-story, and the very popular main-level master plans. We work with JBLM families, empty-nesters who enjoy our main-level master or rambler floor plans, and people that like the room of a two-story plan.”
The 10 available floor plans range from 1,700 to 2,500 square feet with top quality details, landscaping and fenced yards. But whichever home style you choose, it’s their location that sets things apart. “We are literally just minutes from I-5,” says Rice, “3 minutes to the Regional Athletic Complex (RAC), and 5 to 10 minutes to the trailhead of the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge.”
And the Rice family knows these outdoorsy spots well. Regarded as one of the finest outdoor sporting venues in the state, the RAC offers 100 acres of nearly a dozen baseball and soccer fields with views of Mt. Ranier. “We love the RAC and appreciate the walking trails, baseball fields and play areas,” shares Rice. “We have two active young athletic boys so it’s a gem to our family!”
When less athletic and a more relaxing stroll through natural habitats and areas of wildlife is what you want, there’s nothing better than a visit to the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge – a protected estuary that is unique, nationwide. Unlike other parkland, officials explain that “While most major estuaries in the state have been filled, dredged, or developed, Nisqually River’s has been set aside for wildlife. In 1974, Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge was established to protect the delta and its diversity of fish and wildlife habitats. The Nisqually estuary was restored in 2009 by removing dikes and reconnecting 762 acres with the tides of Puget Sound. This is the largest estuary restoration project in the Pacific Northwest and an important step in the recovery of Puget Sound.”
Rob couldn’t have picked a better location for his Steilacoom Ridge neighborhood for any one desiring the best of an urban setting, easy access to I-5 and theuniqueness of the south Puget Sound’s natural beauty and parks.
The third phase of development at Steilacoom Ridge is well underway, with approximately 100 of 420 homes completed and more than 70 occupied to date. Overall, Rob Rice and his team have more than 30 years of experience and have built 3,000 homes and 43 neighborhoods in the South Sound area. Open Houses are Friday through Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m
When you live at Steilacoom Ridge, the beautiful Pacific Northwest is literally at your doorstep. You, your family, friends and even four-legged jogging companions, will never tire of the views, opportunities and amenities of your new forever Rob Rice home.
