Safely discard sensitive documents and old prescriptions, and donate items that can be used again to organizations that help people in our community. Stop by the Tumwater Clean-up Drop-off event on Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Tumwater City Hall parking lot at 555 Israel Road, Tumwater, WA 98501. This is a new event, hosted by the City of Tumwater and operated by community service groups and volunteers.

You may drop off items to DISCARD:

  • Responsibly destroy old or unused prescription medicine to ensure it will never be used inappropriately at the Prescription Drop Box (hosted by Tumwater Police).
  • Shred sensitive and financial documents to protect against identity theft at the LeMay Mobile Shredding Truck.

Or drop off items to DONATE to these partner agencies*:

  • Goodwill is accepting donations of small furniture, household items, books, toys, kitchen items, sporting equipment, and clothes.
  • Habitat for Humanity is accepting donations of building material, furniture, and gently used appliances.
  • Thurston County Food Bank will take donations of non-perishable food.
  • YWCA Other Bank is accepting donations of unopened hygiene products.

* Each agency reserves the right to accept or reject donated items. No trash or yard waste will be collected at this event.
