Capital High School Resource Officer Kim Seig, an officer with the Olympia Police Department, will educate parents about sexting and how police respond to such reports during a presentation on Tuesday, January 26.

Seig will begin her presentation at 6:30 p.m. in the Knox Administrative Center board room, 1113 Legion Way S.E. in Olympia.

The free presentation is geared for parents of middle and high school students; however, all community members are welcome to attend.

Among other things, Seig will address how the police department investigates and prosecutes sexting cases. She also said she will make parents aware of mobile device applications used for sexting.
