Thurston County skies will once again be buzzing with warbirds and aerobatic performers during the Olympic Air Show on Father’s Day Weekend, June 15 and 16, 2024, at Olympia Regional Airport.

Hosted by the Olympic Flight Museum, this 24th annual event is one of only three warbird and aerobatic aircraft gatherings in Washington State. Seven decades of aircraft technological advances will be on display, from vintage bi-planes to high-performance jets.

This year, the show will feature aircraft from World War II and Vietnam, with aerobatic demonstrations from museum aircraft including the P-51D, American Beauty, the AH-1 Cobra Gunship Helicopter, the L-39 Albatros, and the only flying example of the Kaman HH-43 Huskie. The West Coast Ravens Demonstration Team will be a featured guest, along with a 1943 PBY-5A Catalina Princess of the Stars, a Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk, and a B-17F Flying Fortress Ye Olde Pub. Washington State Department of Natural Resources Aviation division will perform an aerial fire attack demonstration.

Additional event highlights include a World War II encampment with authentic military vehicles and uniformed personnel. Families will enjoy an area for youth activities. Food, merchandise vendors, and a beer garden will also be available.
