The public is invited to NOVA School on November 18th at 7:00 p.m. for an interactive discussion addressing the complexities of parenting of highly capable children. Facilitated by Barbara Mitchell Hutton, NOVA’s Head of School and an internationally-recognized innovator and champion in the education of highly capable students, the Parent Discussion Group is designed to address challenges, joys and concerns inherent in the complexities of parenting of highly capable children. The exchange among parents is supportive and informative and adds to the richness of the discussion.

The Parent Discussion Group is a part of a continuing NOVA School series of talks, speakers and events for the greater community that are free to attendees.

A prior participant said this about the benefit of the discussion group: “You don’t want to miss this opportunity to join our community in learning how to deepen and broaden your experience with your child and your self. Barbara Mitchell Hutton is a master, full of insight and wisdom from years of working on the leading edge of gifted education.”

The foundation book for this discussion group is Living with Intensity (Daniels and Piechowski, 2009.) Other resources will be provided as topics of interest develop.

Advance registration is helpful for planning but not required. To register or if you have questions email Barbara at bhutton@novaschool.org. NOVA School, 2020 22nd Ave. SE, Olympia, WA 98501 www.novaschool.org
