Olympia Poetry Network Reading: Holly J. Hughes

Holly J. Hughes, the November 19 reader for the Olympia Poetry Network, is author of Sailing by Ravens (University of Alaska Press, 2014), and editor of the award-winning anthology, Beyond Forgetting: Poetry and Prose about Alzheimer’s Disease (Kent State University Press, 2009).  Hughes has taught writing at Edmonds Community College as well as at regional conferences and workshops.  She has spent over thirty summers working on the water in Alaska in a variety of roles, most recently as a naturalist on ships.  The reading starts at 6:30 p.m. at Traditions Café,  300 5th Ave SW, Olympia.  An Open Mic precedes the reader.  This event is free of charge.  For more information call 360-701-2030.
