Baron Boris von Frankenstein (Boris Karloff) decides to announce his retirement at a convention of monsters, including the Werewolf, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, and others, leaving his business to his incompetent nephew, Felix. But Frankenstein soon realizes that he must keep his newest discovery, the secret of total destruction, out of the wrong hands.
