LGBTQ Living Timeline of Equality

The City of Olympia invites the community to gather together and memorialize the historic milestones of LGBTQ rights in Olympia through a participatory public art project. Community members of all ages are invited to help decorate a 55-foot canvas with inscriptions or small photos that mark personal and community milestones in our LGBTQ history. Together we will share the stories of how Olympia became a vibrant and welcoming community for all. After the event, the Living Timeline of Equality will proudly be on display at City Hall for the community to enjoy. This event is co-hosted by the City of Olympia’s Human Relations Committee, Capital City Pride, and SAGE Olympia.
