New project! Join staff and stewards as we focus on removing invasive single-seeded Hawthorne. This small flowering/fruit bearing tree displaces native vegetation and forms impenetrable thickets that can change the ecosystem of forests. Meet at the “Philosopher” statue/picnic table on the mulched trail in the southeastern corner of LBA Park. The park is located at 3333 Morse-Merryman Rd. SE. Plenty of parking available.
For all work parties, please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get wet and muddy. Please bring a reusable water bottle. An adult must accompany youth under the age of 14 and all youth under 18 years of age must have an online waiver signed electronically by a parent/guardian. All ages are welcome to participate! Tools, gloves, and light refreshments provided.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to park and sign in.
