Jamie McMillan is a journeyman ironworker, apprentice boilermaker, and founder of KickAss Careers, a non-profit encouraging non-traditional students to consider careers in skilled trade. Jamie will provide two 1.5-hour-long sessions, including a presentation followed by Q&A opportunity for students.

Jamie gives insights into finding her path toward skilled trades, including dealing ADHD, troubles at home, and career path decisions that brought her to the trades. Jamie is well-known across North America and participated on Prime Minister of Canada’s Justin Trudeau’s Ministerial Advisory Committee to promote well-paying careers to youth in skilled trades.

This Career Connected Learning awareness opportunity is available to students through a generous contribution from the North Peninsula Builder’s Association and the Building Industry of Washington, with support from Olympic Educational Services District 114.
