Aging in Place Resource Expo

Older adults and their families will gain the knowledge they need to design a plan for continuing to live safely, comfortably, and independently in their home. Barry Long, Residential Real Estate; Age-In-Place/Accessibility Specialist for Marketplace Sotheby’s International Realty and recent governor appointee to the Washington State Building Codes Council, will serve as keynote speaker during the noon hour. Other speakers will cover topics related to reverse mortgage, safety assessments, contractors, adaptive devices and services, de-stuffing your house, online auctions and more.

By talking with local vendors at the Expo and listing to speakers scheduled throughout the day, attendees will be able to build a framework for creating a home environment, that includes community, supports that will meet their changing needs as they age.
