Experience Olympia & Beyond, on behalf of the Tenino Area Chamber of Commerce announced that the Tenino Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 56th Annual Oregon Trails Days at Tenino City Park July 21-23, 2023.

The festival is free to attend and will feature: The Pioneer Village at the Depot Museum with 35 hands-on activities for families, Parade, live entertainment, 28th Annual Rock, Gem and Mineral Show, Food Booths, Arts and Crafts Vendors, Tenino Young-At-Heart Theatre production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Quilt Show, Creekside Conservancy Salmon Bake, Tenino Timberland Library Author Event and Book Sale, VFW and American Legion Opening and Closing Flag Ceremony and presentation of Arms, South Thurston Fire and EMS Demonstrations and Dunk Tank, Yelm Amateur Radio Network Demonstration and a Community Worship Service in the Park.

The Chamber encourages visitors to also check out the new playground equipment and 3 pumps tracks in the park. The Tenino Quarry Pool may also be open during Oregon Trail Days. “Oregon Trail Days is a long-time beloved event in our community that I remember fondly while growing up here and have participated in it several times.” said Tenino Mayor Wayne Fournier.  “The Tenino Area Chamber of Commerce coordinates Oregon Trail Days in partnership with the City of Tenino, Tenino Community Service Center Food Bank Plus, South Thurston County Historical Society, Tenino Lions Club, Washington Agate and Mineral Society, South Thurston Fire and EMS, Tenino Young-At-Heart Theatre, Tenino Farmers Market and Tenino Timberland Library and we hold monthly meetings starting in February each year to plan the Festival.” said Cheryl Pearce, President of the Chamber. “We have a great committee that works well together to put on a wonderful family friendly event,” Pearce continued.

Oregon Trail Days is funded by: Chris Hallett-Tyler Whitworth Edward Jones, Lucky Eagle Casino, Puget Sound Energy, LeMay Inc. of Centralia/Lewis County, Colleen Casey Farmers Insurance, Tenino Title and Tabs, Briar Cottage Quilting Fabrics and Notions, Thurston County Lodging Tax and proceeds from the Chamber’s annual Christmas Auction.
