“We are growing,” says Melissa Lilley, owner. The community responded enthusiastically when their doors opened last March. This will be the first winter of classes, and The Little Gym is excited to see you.

The Little Gym Focuses on Child Gymnastics for Kids Under 12

Melissa is freshly back from the national Little Gym Family Reunion. Franchise owners from around the country gathered in Orlando for continuing education, training and networking opportunities. “It’s the best!” exclaims Melissa. She likes hearing from long-time owners who talk about ways to provide the best experiences for everyone who enters the gym. Information about best practices for the business was shared. Owners get ideas to ignite their teams’ passions that translate to more energy for members. It’s about creating a WOW Factor.

The focus of The Little Gym is the children. Fun is certainly important, but there’s more than that. The corporate philosophy embraces the idea that physical activity for children nurtures the whole body. It’s a three-fold, three-dimensional concept.

Kids Dance and Gymnastics in Olympia Strengthen Bodies

While kids are playing games and using equipment, they are strengthening muscles, gaining balance and flexibility, and developing greater coordination. They are getting better in touch with how their body works and moves. Kids get to run off their exuberant energy. Teachers provide instruction and safety. Equipment is age appropriate.

Little Gymnastic Classes Boost the Brain

Throughout the session children are concentrating and making decisions. Group activities nurture listening skills and foster imagination. Most children have ample screen time. There’s no time for that at The Little Gym. Kids are interacting with others and focused on the task or skill learning in front of them. It’s also a chance for parents to observe their children and be attentive to the situation.

Youth Tumbling Classes Also Help with Interpersonal Skills

Children learn how to take turns and how to be cooperative. They share and get to practice leadership, all important traits to cultivate. These are real life situations and children learn to self-regulate. The Little Gym helps you grow your child into a well-rounded and adjusted person.

Age-Appropriate Gymnastic Activities in Olympia

For the youngest, parents are right alongside on mats. It’s fun to watch your toddler discover the world, and see these little ones interact with each other. “My favorite part is watching kids in class,” says Melissa, adding, “I see them experience new things and discovering something new they can do.” Older children have more sophisticated and challenging sessions.

Kids’ Gymnastic Instructor Support from The Little Gym

“We love our team,” says Melissa, who works intentionally with her instructors. It’s more than just a place to work. “We have a positive gym culture,” she explains. With weekly meetings, the group participates in team-building activities and skills training. Melissa looks for ways to incorporate team members’ life goals into their schedules. For example, one employee is working on her business degree. Melissa finds ways to utilize her budding education in the office as well on on the gym floor.

Extra time is taken with the young adults that are using The Little Gym as a steppingstone in their education and career paths. “People move on,” acknowledges Melissa, but The Little Gym wants to be part of people reaching their goals, both personally and professionally. “They get to stretch their learning muscles in the gym while they are with us,” she adds.

New Gymnastic Classes in Olympia and More

  • Sunday classes have started, a new addition for Little Gym Olympia.
  • You can take advantage of Parent Survival Night. That’s where you get to drop off your kids so you can make your own plans. You don’t have to be a member to participate, but members get a discount.
  • Birthday parties are popular. You might consider a holiday party. As the weather changes, it is probably a good idea to have an indoor space for kids who aren’t going out as much.
  • Santa may be a visitor before the end of the year.
