Pope John Paul II High School’s Girls Cross Country Team are Academic State Champions

The Pope John Paul II High School girls’ cross-country team has won the WIAA/Gesa Credit Union Academic State Champions Award for achieving the highest grade point average in the girls 1B cross country classification. This is the Third time the team has been named Academic State Champions, with the team winning the title in 2018 and 2021 as well.

Each JPII team member will receive a special patch and medallion in recognition of their extraordinary accomplishment. A special plaque will be presented to the girls during the upcoming WIAA/Gesa Credit Union State Tournament. Therese Allin, principal of JPII, expressed pride in the girls’ accomplishments, “We are so blessed to have such incredible student athletes.”
