This season, instead of getting what you normally get, try one of the seasonal drinks at one of the Olympia cafés. Olympia is home to numerous coffee houses with different styles and beverage choices. From the West Side to downtown, there’s more than a handful of café spots for people to choose to grab a drink at. This winter, a few of them have put up specialty seasonal drinks that are sure to warm any belly and heart. For traditional drinks and unique beverages, stop by one of the locations below and taste what they have to offer.

Capitol Business MachinesParkside Café

1909 Harrison Avenue NW, Olympia

Parkside Café on the West Side of Olympia is a vegan and locally sourced café off Harrison that serves food and drinks. It’s known for its ethically sourced items and beautiful views from its rooftop sitting area, which is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible due to the size of the space. This season they have several specials for their patrons including a signature Parkside Nog Latte made from in-house eggnog. With its central location, Parkside Café is the perfect spot to stop at when you’re out doing your early morning errands or on your way home from work or school.

Mud Bay Coffee Company

1600 Cooper Point Road SW Suite #630, Olympia

One of Olympia’s favorites is Mud Bay Coffee on Cooper Point. It is a beautiful spot tucked away from the busy holiday traffic. This café, unlike the others on the list, has a fireplace and a stack of games in its conference room open to customers. Their holiday drink specials include your traditional eggnog latte and pumpkin spice latte. With gorgeous views and a relaxing atmosphere, Mud Bay on Cooper Point is the perfect location to settle in and enjoy a drink…or three while relaxing alone or with friends.

Rediviva Tea and Coffee

116 5th Avenue SE, Olympia

Nestled inside the same building as Encore Chocolates and Teas, is a little café called Rediviva. Its downtown location in the heart of many of Olympia’s top stores makes Rediviva a nice hide away from the hustle and bustle of the season. The top drink this season is a twist off a popular iced Mexican favorite. Their hot herbal hibiscus cider with ginger and hints of apple and blueberry flavors is a warm and powerful drink sure to knock the cold out and bring the warmth and spirit back into your body.

Traditions

300 5th Avenue SW, Olympia

A downtown favorite for years, Traditions Café is just across the street from Capitol Lake Park. The café has a shop that sells clothes and other items that would make perfect one-of-a-kind gifts for family and friends. Traditions is offering a special and unique drink this season called a “chaider” that is exactly what it sounds like, a chai cider. This drink made from Lattin’s apple cider and Traditions house chai and is a flavorful and warm beverage. Grab this specialty item next time you’re out and don’t be afraid to ask for something out of the ordinary; they are excited to make whatever you may dream.

Ember Goods

422 Washington Street SE, Olympia

Ember Goods in the heart of downton Olympia has an ever rotating list of seasonal drinks that they make from essential oils. Their winter drink list consists of remixes on traditional flavors of the season like eggnog and peppermint. They’re another great spot for people who want to grab a drink and do some gift shopping locally because half of Ember Goods’ café is a clothing and goods store.

All these establishments are right here in Olympia and open to providing the best service this winter. From customized drinks to twists on classics, each of the cafés above can fill your need for something warm and delicious this season.
