The Pocket Gophers welcome Crossfire Premiere on Saturday, May 11 at 5:30 p.m. (North Thurston High School’s South Sound Stadium). The Pocket Gophers finished second in league last year with a 9-2-1 record, and are eager to return to the top of the table for 2019.

In response to community interest, the Pocket Gophers have set all of their match times two hours earlier than 2018: (Doors open at 4:30 p.m., first kick is an hour later). Kids will enjoy the bounce houses courtesy of Charlie’s Safari and the free e-gaming trailer that will be on-site for every home game.

“We wanted an experience where kids can watch soccer, but also have the ability to find other forms of entertainment to keep them occupied,” said Pocket Gophers President/Chairman Troy Kirby. “Our e-gaming trailer can switch in/out any games that they want, and kids play for free as long as its there.”

On The Grind Espresso becomes the official concessionaire of the Pocket Gophers 2019 season, providing valued meals such as the Mazama Burger with extra resources, Gopher Gutts burger or nachos (pulled pork sandwiches), or even hotdogs.

“Our meal offerings allow families to eat a fun, exciting dinner while watching our team play,” said Kirby. “At half-time, we also have two 6-foot-soccer balls for kids to play with on the field.”

New to this year’s entertainment is a double-barrel gatling t-shirt gun courtesy of FX Motion, and with t-shirts sponsored by Chicago Title. The gun shoots 60 t-shirts in 5 seconds over 120 feet.

“I think you’re probably guaranteed a t-shirt if you sit on the north side of the stands… literally,” Kirby said.
