Get outside with mom for a fun, family-friendly 5K with the 5th Annual Mother’s Day 5k and Kids 1 Mile Run. This scenic walk or run on downtown Olympia’s waterfront also features a free one-mile kid’s run with awards for top finishers by age group. The event takes place from 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on May 12 at the Hands on Children’s Museum.

Mom will love the fusion of flow yoga and contemporary dance of OMnia Yoga with a free yoga class at Molly Gleizes Yoga. New students can try a class for free and on Mother’s Day, May 12, the class is at 10:00 a.m.

For a Mother’s Day not soon forgotten, take mom to see local magician Jeff Evans with Magic for Moms on Mother’s Day. On May 12 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Triad Theater in Yelm, find family-friendly and mind-blowing magic. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, kids $8, and those 4 and under are free. All moms will receive a magically revealed gift.

The free Wooden Boat Show at Percival Landing Park is a great way to see the beauty of Olympia and check out the amazing boats. On May 12 at noon, the Olympia Highlanders will be on stage for a free performance mom will love.
