Hands On Children’s Museum is hosting a play & learning event for adults only at the museum with Adult Swim: Magic & Awe, this Friday, November 16 from 7:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m. The after-hours party for adults 21+ is a chance to eat, drink, and play like a kid again at the museum. Magic & Awe features exciting special guests and activities designed to explore magic, art, and science.

Be amazed by the acclaimed magician Jeff Evans, watch aerialist performances by Airbound Arts, and enjoy magnetic experiments with our friends from OlyMEGA. You can also surround yourself in a rainbow of colors in the Ribbon Room – a multisensory installation, craft your own glowing magic wand with Shipwreck Beads, create a glow-in-the-dark painting under black lights, play with light and line in our light-painting photo booth, make music with a Theremin, and conduct experiments with Saint Martin’s University Chemistry and Physics Clubs.

“Where else can you sip an Enchanted Elixir cocktail while exploring 150+ exciting exhibits dedicated to fun and learning?” asks Hands On Event Manager, Paulette Beadling. “Plan to have dinner at the museum; we’ll have legendary Ramblin’ Jack’s mac & cheese, gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and other tasty treats from the Play Day Café. Sophie’s Scoops will also be on site with handcrafted gelato for purchase.”

This educational and fun night at the Museum is made possible through our event sponsors and partners MIXX 96 FM, Shipwreck Beads, OlyMEGA, Saint Martin’s Chemistry and Physics Clubs, Timberland Regional Library, Sofie’s Scoops, Batdorf & Bronson, Silver City Brewery, Olympia Beer, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Abby’s Cookies & Cupcakes, L&E Bottling Company, Total Wine & More, and Airbound Arts. The event is exclusively for adults, mixing good food and drink with playful science and learning at the Hands On Children’s Museum.

Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 on the day of the event. While supplies last, buy 1 ticket at full price and get $10 off additional tickets using promo code: MAGIC2018.
