The Davey Awards are overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA) and received nearly 4,000 entries this year from the US and around the world. AIVA members are top-tier professionals from media and marketing firms including Conde Nast, Disney, Microsoft and MTV.  The Davey Awards honor “Creative Davids” who have big ideas and small budgets. Experience Olympia & Beyond’s award is shared with Simpleview, the developer of the new ExperienceOlympia.com website.

“We are honored to be recognized on an international scale for our website. We have received numerous compliments on the website since its launch and appreciate our partnership with Simpleview,” said Shauna Stewart, executive director of Experience Olympia & Beyond. “The website is one of the primary marketing tools we use to showcase the beauty of Thurston County to visitors, event planners, sporting event planners and tour operators.”

The website was launched in May after extensive research and a launch of a new brand. The website redesign was guided by visitor feedback, the brand platform and a community group comprised of tourism and city representatives.
