The North Thurston Public Schools’ No. 3 has a vacancy on the Board of Directors due to the resignation of a board member for Director District 3. The Board of Directors is accepting nominees for the opportunity to serve the District. The replacement will be chosen by vote of the remaining Board Directors and will serve until the November 2017 regular election. All nominees will receive a summary of director responsibilities and information on how to become a candidate. Interested candidates may apply for the vacancy by providing a brief biographical sketch of their background and a statement about their interest in becoming a Board Director. Applications are due back to the Superintendent’s Office (attention Carmen Barriga) located at 305 College NE, Lacey, WA 98516, by January 13, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Replacement will be United States Citizen and qualified voter resident of the school district and appropriate Director District.
The description of Director District 3 is as follows:
Starting at the intersection of Pacific Hwy and 15th Ave.
Southwest on 15th Ave to Marvin Rd.
Northerly on Marvin Rd to powerline access rd, just North of Columbia Way.
Easterly on powerline access rd to extension of Homestead Ave.
North and East on Homestead Ave to Gunvor Crt.
North on Gunvor Crt to 481h Wy.
East on 48th Wy to Beverly Dr.
North on Beverly Dr to Basin Dr.
North on Basin Dr and extension to School District boundary.
The timeline for filling the vacancy is as follows:
