This time of year is thrilling for super fans and armchair quarterbacks alike. But no matter your team of choice, tailgating makes any event into something to remember. On Tuesday, September 20, Lacey’s FASTSIGNS invites customers, chamber members, and fellow Rotarians for a 5:01 Surge anniversary tailgate extravaganza.

The event celebrates owner Grace Kendall’s 15 years at the helm of this thriving business. But she didn’t want your typical anniversary party, instead staying true to her philanthropic roots. A retired Army First Sargeant, Kendall spent more than 20 years in the service and strives to help others even now. “Organizations I support are Rotary, Homeless Backpacks, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County, Special Olympics for my brothers, and of course soldier’s groups” she shares.

At the 5:01 Surge, customers, chamber members, and Rotarians will be treated to an “upscale tailgating party” with catering by Ricardo’s Restaurant, speakers, raffles, and prizes. Guests are encouraged to bring an item from the Homeless BackPacks ‘What We Need’ list to receive drawing entries for football gear, wine, chocolate, goods, services, and more.

“We’re really trying to get people to know we’re more than just a quick sign company,” Kendall explains. “We sell consulting to be sure you get the product that fits your needs. Like our motto says, ‘More than fast, more than signs.’” They readily work with commercial and architectural projects, ADA compliance, and can even equip your business to attend tradeshows or exhibitions.

Invitations to the 5:01 Surge have been mailed by the Lacey South Sound Chamber. All chamber members, customers, and Rotarians must do is RSVP in advance by texting RSVP to 360-979-1644 to insure there are enough tasty treats to go around.

Attendees can tour the FASTSIGNS site, play games, network, and even experience hands-on sign making. Employee Ana Raybon will be awarded her sales certification in a celebratory presentation and staff will be on site to discuss current or future advertising needs.

Since 1998 FASTSIGNS has offered sign expertise for products and services to promote your business, organization, group, club, or team. Their rich history in our region is more than a success story; it’s a perfect example of giving back to the city you call home. Whether it’s donating to the American Red Cross or helping teens closer to home through fundraisers like this one, Kendall continues her lifetime of service.

Business owners know the main goals of networking like increased business and making new connections. But reports show that other key benefits are “advice, increased confidence, satisfaction from helping others, [and] friendship.” Add in prizes, amazing food, and charitable donations and you’ve got a night to remember. Sounds much better than the traditional celebration of crystal and watches for a 15th anniversary!

Forbes said it best when they boiled things down to a simple equation: “Small Business = Big Impact.” Through job creation, community partnerships, and locally made products, “Their value and the role they play in our economy is sometimes underestimated because, they are in fact, small. But the truth is there’s nothing small about the impact they have on our economy.” On September 20, come celebrate this amazing impact with the FASTSIGNS family.

The party starts with a 5:00 p.m. kickoff and goes until 7:00 p.m. at the FastSigns 4609 Lacey Boulevard SE location. To request a consultation or quote, visit the FASTSIGNS website, fastsigns.com/322 or call 360-438-3800. Follow them on Facebook to find advice, success stories, and so much more.
