Flip the calendar and it’s August 1. Each year, the shift to August kind of catches me by surprise. Like most working moms, I juggle a lot during the summer months. I just try to hold on, keeping my head above water, until school starts again with its predictable schedule. But when I hit August, I get nostalgic for lazy summer days and try to recommit to not rushing so much and simply “being” with my kids. So, that’s my plan for this weekend – a simple, slow few days, with unstructured family time. Cheers to summer!
