Olympia Weekend Event Calendar

Wow!  What glorious weather for the past few days.  While the weekend forecast doesn’t look quite as promising, I hope that you had a chance to get outside and enjoy all that Olympia and Thurston County has to offer.  And, like all good Western Washington residents, I trust that you didn’t tuck those umbrellas and rain boots too far into the back of the closet.  Grab them again for the weekend.

  • Take your family to Free Friday Night at the Hands On Children’s Museum.
  • Dig razor clams at Washington beaches.  There are just a few more days remaining in this set of morning tides.
  • Discover sea life at Pier Peer at Boston Harbor Marina on Friday night.
  • Grab a great find at the Secondhand Safari at the Thurston County Fair on Saturday between 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Learn something new at the STEM Fair at Lacey’s Huntamer Park on Saturday.
  • Pick up a free comic book at Gabi’s Olympic Cards and Comics.  Free Comic Book Day is on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
  • Send your kids off to a Cinco de Mayo cooking class at Bayview School of Cooking on Saturday.
  • Celebrate the opening of the revamped Artesian Commons in downtown Olympia on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
  • Circulate on the Chehalis Valley Wine Tour throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday.  Get more information here.
  • Show support to a local family coping with their son’s tragic accident.  The Kellen McCauley 5k run starts at Ingersoll Stadium on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
  • Take in live theater.  Harlequin Productions is performing “Fighting Over Beverly” throughout the weekend.
  • Visit an open house event this weekend.  Click here to see the list of Van Dorm Realty’s open houses.
