OLYMPIA— The Girls Without Limits! (GWOL!) Program at the YWCA of Olympia is excited to announce registration for Spring Break Camp is now open to girls ages 10 to 14. GWOL! Technically Speaking Spring Break Camp is April 1st through April 4th, 2013. Spring Break Camp is $75.00 per camper and registration forms are due Monday, March 18th. Full and partial scholarships are available upon request.

This year, the Girls Without Limits! Spring Break Camp will focus on video production, film techniques, social marketing, and health. Camp will also provide girls with an opportunity to strategize in teams and create videos using complex equipment and software. Participants will hear stories from professional women in the film and digital media industry, attend special trainings and workshops, and learn how social marketing can affect behaviors and attitudes.

The YWCA of Olympia’s, Girls Without Limits! Program has sessions during spring and summer breaks and occasional weekends for girls ages 10 to 14. GWOL! focuses on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), as well as leadership, self-esteem, career awareness, and art. Participants are given the opportunity to meet professional women, go on educational field-trips, and work on group projects. Girls are encouraged to empower themselves and each other by increasing self-confidence, knowledge, and skills in the STEM area.
