Award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Nachmanoff will perform an all-ages concert at the Olympia Timberland Library on Thursday, March 7 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Nachmanoff will perform songs from his new critically acclaimed CD “Step Up,” as well as his back catalogue. Nachmanoff is known for sophisticated songwriting, clean guitar playing, rich and textured instrumentation, top-notch singing, and an energetic show.

Having paid his dues playing in bars, restaurants and coffeehouses, Nachmanoff is now performing as an opening and featured act at venues as far-flung as the Edmonds Center for the Arts, The Kennedy Center, and The Royal Albert Hall. He has toured as opening act, verbal sparring partner and lead guitarist for Al Stewart (“Year of the Cat”, “Time Passages”) for more than ten years. He’s also shared the stage with Don McLean, Steve Forbert, The Pogues, America, Alison Krauss and many others.

Nationwide independent music consortium Just Plain Folks honored Nachmanoff with the 2001 Songwriter of the Year award. Recently, he has been recognized in three songwriting contests – the USA Songwriting Competition, the International Acoustic Music Awards, and the Great American Song Contest. Sing Out! Magazine has praised his heartfelt, inspired songwriting and biting and assured delivery.

With nine albums to his credit, “Step Up” is Nachmanoff’s latest release. Nachmanoff lives in California. More information and a sampling of his music are at www.davenach.com.
