OLYMPIA, WA – The Alpine Experience, South Sound’s Premier Outdoor Retailer located in the heart of Downtown Olympia, has announced the donation of 500 pairs of socks to area charity, the Downtown Ambassadors.

“Investing in our community has always been a core value of our business,” said Joe Hyer, Founder and Co-owner. “We are glad that the community recognizes this and shops locally.”

“Over the years, The Alpine Experience has been an engaged community partner, reaching out to those in need, in order to improve the quality of their lives, and in doing so, improving the quality of our community as a whole,” said Rob Richards, Program Manager for the Downtown Ambassador Program.

The City of Olympia’s Downtown Ambassador Program creates a safe and welcoming environment for all downtown users. The program is part of the City’s Downtown Project that aims to revitalize downtown Olympia through a variety of approaches. The City of Olympia is funding the ambassador program with their parking services budget.

Rob Richards, Housing Program Coordinator at Capital Recovery Center (formerly known as Capital Clubhouse), serves as Program Manager for the Ambassadors.
