A quick message from our Thrifty Thurston writers:
Despite glorious weather, it’s clear that the countdown to back-to-school has started. If you are like me, I’m digging out the school supply list, noticing some long hair that needs trimming, and scheduling check-ups before the school routine resumes.
Recently, a well-informed mom notified me of Target’s campaign to give $2.5M to K-12 schools. And, all it takes is a few clicks, maybe even less than 3 minutes of your time.
For ever 25 clicks, Target donates a $25 gift card to your favorite school. Certainly worth the three minutes, especially if you consider how teachers can make each $1 stretch far when it comes to classroom supplies.
We posted the link on our school’s Facebook page. But, I decided to not be stingy with this information and share it instead with our entire ThurstonTalk community so that all of our public schools can benefit from Target’s generosity.
Simply choose your favorite K-12 school on the Give With Target website. Click on ‘vote’ and you are done. And, even better, you can vote weekly through September 8. Go back next week and vote again.
So, share this post with your PTO and PTA organization, booster club, neighborhood association, book club, knitting circle – all of your family and friends. Keep the votes going so that our Thurston County schools can earn valuable dollars.
