Olympia Pub Crawl Provides Good Times For A Good Cause
A pub crawl, on its own, probably would not be worthy of making our weekly summary of favorite posts. However, add in the work by Molly Sjoboen to raise money for childhood cancer research and suddenly the event takes on a whole new meaning. 2012 Tribal Canoe Journey Lands In Olympia
Since the host of the tribal canoe journey rotates, it may be years before you can witness this cultural event again. Loads of community members watched from boats, paddle boards, and shore to witness the historic landing of canoes and paddlers. “It’s a native event, by natives, for natives but also open to our friends and neighbors who want to come and watch,” said Bridget Ray, the long range planner for the Squaxin Island Tribe.
