County Rec Day Camp Programs Heat Up with Warmer Weather
Slots still available for eight weeks of summertime activities
OLYMPIA – As the weather heats up, so does the fun with Thurston County’s Hand In Hand Summer Camp programs.
Space is still available in the day camp program for disabled and non-disabled kids ages 6 to 13, as well as the day camp for disabled teens ages 14 to 21. Both programs run through August 24. Parents can register their kids for the all eight weeks, or sign up for individual week-long blocks for either the full five days or for a 3-day flex week. The cost is $145 per week or $125 for each 3-day flex week, plus a one-time $30 registration fee. All field trip fees and a Camp T-shirt are included. There are no camp programs on Wednesday, July 4, and this week’s camp price is reduced to $130.
“We’re ready to make the most of warm weather that’s on the way,” said Recreation Supervisor Margaret Huff. “We have field trips to the zoo, to the ballpark, to the ocean, to the fair—the schedule is packed with summertime fun and activities!”
For more information on the day camp programs and for registration, contact the Thurston County Recreation Services office located at 5033 Harrison Ave. in Olympia, call (360) 786-5595 or visit our website at www.thurston-parks.org.
