Saturday June 4th: Get your quack on at the 2011 Duck Dash in Tumwater (110 Deschutes Way SW Tumwater, WA 98501) this Saturday! To participate, you purchase a rubber duck (or multiple ducks) for $5 each. Each duck has a number on it that corresponds to the ticket(s) you are given. Then watch as a crane dumps over 12,000 ducks into the Deschutes River! From there, it’s a riveting race to the finish line where the owners of the first twenty ducks get amazing prizes! This year, some of the prizes include a 46 inch 3D television with free installation and a Blu-ray player, cash prizes of up to $1500, 10 massage sessions from Comstock Physical therapy and much more! All of these prizes are donated by businesses in the area, and your ticket costs go towards supporting local and international charities supported by the Lacey Rotary Club. As if that wasn’t enough, there will be a whole roster of local jazz bands and performers to entertain you starting from 11AM! The ducks drop at 4PM and the winners are announced at 4:30PM

Saturday June 4th: Take a trip back in time and visit the 10th Annual New Market Pioneer Fair! From 10AM to 4PM come see the American Heritage Campground (9610 Kimmie Street SW Olympia, WA 98512) where a village of pioneers have settled down! There will be demonstrations on how life was back then including making butter, blacksmithing, ax magic, and wool spinning. In addition there will also be wagon rides, animals, toys and crafts, as well as a general store! Prices are great too, adults cost $5, children are $3 and families cost only $15. Saturday June 4th: The sixth annual Tenino farmers market opens this Saturday at Tenino Elementary School (301 Old Hwy. 99 Tenino, WA 98589)! The market is open every Saturday from now until September, from 10AM to 3PM.
Saturday June 4th: Don’t miss out on a great evening of laughs this weekend! Comedian Vince Vaghn will be coming to the Little Creek Casino (91 W. Highway 108 Shelton, WA 98584) and he’s bringing other great stand-ups Faizon Love, Angelo Tsarouchas, Owen Benjamin, and Ahmed Ahmed. The fun begins at 8PM, tickets cost $50-$65. This event is only for those aged 21 and up.
