In celebration of “National Learn About Composting” Day we invite you to come and learn how to turn your yard waste and food scraps into a rich soil amendment for your gardens. At the workshop you will learn:
•What type of yard waste is best for home composting
•Determine if a compost bin is needed and if so, what type will work best for you
•How to monitor and troubleshoot the yard waste composting process
•Tips on applying yard waste compost for a healthy, beautiful yard.

Meet at the gazebo inside the garden. Please dress for the weather as this workshop will be outside. Bring garden gloves if you want to participate in the “hands-on” portion of the workshop.

This workshop is free, no pre-registration needed.
