Please join us on Friday, August 30th from 5 to 8 pm for an evening of art and books.

Orca will host a unique, interactive art show exhibiting a culmination of Evergreen student’s work on and about Book Art. Through their processes, students explored letterpress printing, hand-bookbinding, experimental book forms, as well as sculpture. Students’ interests and backgrounds are widely varied, and their art touches on themes that range from the hard sciences to the liberal arts in diverse ways and wonderings. Questions arise when interacting with this exhibit, such as “Why do we read?”; “Why books?”; “What does the book form say and achieve?”; “What is the permanence and what is the fragility of our words?”; and “How can we tell stories?”.

The exhibit begins at 5 PM and continues until 8 pm. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
