Thurston County Fair Open Class Home Arts Department needs volunteers to help take in entries, help judging, and prepare displays for the Fair. Learn what goes on behind the scenes at the Thurston County Fair to make the Open Class Home Arts Department such a success! Home Arts include needlework, quilting, sewing, fiber arts, baking, canning, and beverage-making. We need help getting Heritage Hall ready for displays, taking in entries (both textile-related and food-related), assisting judges, setting up displays (e.g., hanging quilts), and handing out entries for pickup after the fair.
