Hello, my name is Laura and I am the new Victory Garden Project Coordinator! I come to you with much enthusiasm and excitement as I take on this new role with GRuB! I am a Veteran of the United States Army and I have a background in sustainable, organic agriculture as well as food and agriculture law and policy.

The Veteran–Community Council is an opportunity to step out of our everyday busyness and remember what it means to be human. We gather in a circle as equals to listen and speak from our hearts, and to witness our shared humanity. The roots of this practice are pan-cultural. Humans across the globe from many cultures and traditions have engaged in this way of communication for thousands of years. It is in our human-nature.

Our goal is to recruit a team of veteran and active duty volunteers. We have lots of opportunities for all kinds of schedules, skill sets, abilities, and interests! There are also other volunteer events, projects, and positions available seasonally and as needs arise. Let us know if you’d like to be part of this team!
