“Torrey Pines” Screening with Live Musical Accompaniment

“Torrey Pines” is a stop-motion animated feature film by director Clyde Petersen. Based on a true story, the film is a queer punk coming-of-age tale, taking place in Southern California in the early 1990s. This full length animation will feature a live musical soundtrack. As the story unfolds in a series of baffling and hallucinated events, 12-year-old Petersen is taken on a cross-country adventure with his schizophrenic mother that will forever alter the family as they know it. This program takes place after regular library hours and no other services will be available.
