A week before students return to classes and with back-to-school shopping in full swing, the Olympia School District Education Foundation will announce a major contribution to the Principal’s Emergency Checkbook Fund and share why the fund fills a critical gap for students in need. They will be joined by leaders from the Olympia School District, Representative Denny Heck (WA-10), and other community supporters
The Principal’s Emergency Checkbook Fund (PECF), established in 2007, provides Olympia School District principals with immediate access to funds to purchase items for students and families such as eye glasses, car repairs, power bills, prom tickets, graduation gowns and other items.
