Every song has a great story behind it. David Deacon-Joyner, in a solo concert, will present a selection of piano rags by “The Father of Ragtime” Scott Joplin and “The Father of Harlem Stride Piano” James P. Johnson.
He will then leap forward through the decades to present a selection of his own original compositions with stories of how each piece came to be.
