South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity is hosting the virtual auction, Repurpose for a Reason, featuring artists, creators, builders and DIY’ers creating unique one-of-a-kind items to raise funds that help low-income families build and improve places to call home. Specifically, all money raised will assist Habitat in completing the final phase of the 33-affordable home Deyoe Vista Habitat Development in Lacey, and upcoming homebuilding projects in Yelm (22 homes) and in Tumwater (28 homes).
The auction will feature local builders and artists; some of whom shared their craft or talent through refinishing furniture which would have otherwise ended up in our local landfills, some have donated their time and talent for tattoo or photography sessions, or crafted a local piece of art on canvas through painting.
The online auction launches at Noon on Monday, August 24th and closes at 3:00pm on Saturday, August 29th. Please register now so that you will be ready to bid once the auction goes live. Registration is free!
