Rainier Bluegrass Festival

We Love Rainier WA will be hosting the 28th annual Bluegrass Festival on August 26th, 27th, and 28th. We are so happy to be able to offer this beloved event once again!! Activities will include breakfast all three mornings 7 – 10 am, an open mic Pickin & Jamming Party on Friday from 3 – 7pm, bluegrass shows on Saturday 2 – 5 pm and 6 – 9 pm, and a gospel jam on Sunday at 9:30 am. This year’s event will include 7 bands: Rusty Hinges, The Cowchips, Tried and Blue, Beyond the Rain, The Dills Family, Band of Friends and Hardshell Harmony. We will also have several food vendors which include Burgers, Hot Dogs and Strawberry Shortcake!! Admission to the festival is FREE for all!! All of the above events will be held in Wilkowski Park in the City of Rainier.
In addition to this year’s Bluegrass Festival, We Love Rainier WA will host a street dance Friday evening August 26th, in celebration of the City of Rainier’s Annual Round-Up Days Event. This is an all-ages dance – and again – admission is FREE! The dance will be in Dakota Street next to Holiday Park in the City of Rainier from 7 – 10 pm. Oh – and don’t forget Rainier’s big Round-Up Days Parade on Saturday August 27th at 11 am! The parade is hosted by the City of Rainier, participation in the parade is FREE for all organizations except political parties ($25 fee). Sign-up for the parade is done through the City of Rainier.
Additional events going on in Rainier on Saturday August 27th include a Wiener Dog Race at noon behind the City Hall and the Rainier Saturday Market at 9 am next to the basketball court.
