Are you interested in visiting patients with your companion animal at Providence St. Peter Hospital?
The next volunteer training for Providence Animal-Assisted Activities & Therapy will start in January of 2019 and although that seems like a long way away, we would like to help prospective handler-animal teams be as prepared as possible to successfully complete the training.
To that end, we will be conducting our Lend-a-Paw Community Outreach presentation on Wednesday, July 18, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. The presentation will take place in Room 200 on the second floor of St. Peter Hospital.
If you have a friendly, well-socialized, well behaved companion animal who loves to meet and hang out with new people, and you would like to learn about the qualities, skills and behaviors we look for in a successful visiting team, please join us for this no-obligation informational presentation. Attendees will leave the presentation with concrete tasks they can begin working on right away in preparation for the 2019 training.
** PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR COMPANION ANIMAL TO THIS PRESENTATION **
Registration is not necessary, but it would be helpful.
Hope to see you there!
